Reviews
-Bread is not good as we expected, a bit crowed inside.
-Signature disk (i.e. Caviar Jelly, Mashed Potatoes) is perfect as expected
-Mashed potatoes just like a warm ice-cream, cannot imagine the texture like this. Very tasty.
-Cocktail is not this strength.
-Napoleon cake is the best one I had compared with another hotel. Must revisit again for this
One of a kind. Signature set offers the best variety of the famous dishes.
Favorite is the Caviar Imperial and Le Boeuf with Foie Gras
Dessert was top notch, we ordered a earl grey cake, it was presented with this amazing chocolate rose display. Great for pictures 😉
The dessert from menu was also super creative, in the clouds themed chestnut dessert.
High quality as expected from a michelin 3 star restaurant. Haven't been back for years, but happy to see that they have kept up their standards.. The food and service are top notch and the entire dining experience was well paced. The highlight for me is definitely the bread basket though, even though the dishes are all very good.
Haven’t been back for years but this is another restaurant that we like a lot. Most of the time we sit at the bar table but to celebrate anniversary we sit at the table inside.
We ordered the 9 courses tasting menu and most of the dishes are so delicious. The pan seared scallops were cooked at perfection. And what stand out must be their main dishes. The black cod was so juicy and tasty; while the slow cooked beef and foie gras were so tendered.
Of course their home made bread is so famous too. The dinner was so full we just took all home to enjoy. A perfect place for celebration.
No wonder it is a three star Michelin restaurant. The atmosphere is good, service is good and the food is so good!
The welcome snack is melon soup, which is so light and sweet, with aid of dried wagyu beef, what a summer dishes.
The Duck foie gras cream with fine chicken jelly and sweet corn coulis is very delicious! The duck foie gras is so thick and creamy, pairing with sweet corn purée, mixed with chicken broth jelly, the taste is rich and intense but won’t be too greasy not heavy at all. Love it!
Fine matsutake mushroom “ veloute” with jasmine rice cream is so tasty! The matsutake mushroom soup is silky smooth, paired with jasmine rice cream makes it even more smooth and the flavor is so nice !
Grilled duck breast with spices, cherry confit with kriek is cooked perfectly! The portion is generous, the duck meat is juicy and tender, together with the special cherries, balanced the bold flavor of duck, give a touch of fruity sweetness, lovely!
Smooth passion fruit cream with rum granite and coconut is another highlight! The desserts is so refreshing and tasty! The coconut cream goes well with passion fruit cream , it is sweet and sour , smooth creamy texture contrasting with the crispy dried mangoes, love it!
And the cappuccino is so smooth! The special caramel syrup is so tasty , with a hint of wine taste, not overly sweetened, nice!
Petite fours is good round up, smooth dark chocolate and the fluffy marcoon, I had a great time today! It lights up my day! Thank you!
This 3-star Michelin restaurant confirms my belief that Michelin overrates many of its starred joints.
1. Service was not attentive or discriminated those who paid less. That is: didn't order items that come with extra cost, or didn't order paid bottle of water... I ordered warm water, but was not refilled until I asked. One of us ordered bottled water, when the glass was half filled, someone came and poured from the bottle! Shouldn't water refill part of the rating?
2. To be fair, service was satisfactory and at times, prompt.
3. Paying $600 extra for Sologne Imperial caviar, and there was no mention of its weight served (10?15g)?
4. Most disappointing of all, underneath black cod was bland poached green Shanghai bok choy! (I can do it blind-folded.) At least, I would lightly cook it in a bath of chicken broth. I had hoped the chef would have done the same. However, outrageously unexpected, poached, like the won-tun noodle places in Yaumatei. Each "star" counts the quality, and the "heart" tops. Go an extra mile as there are plenty of competitors out there.
But then, the Michelin critics should not just give out stars as a habit or routine or "just because...".
Special food and unique way to cook. Minus one star of service because no cheese and dessert kart included such as Robuchon in Macau.
Best steak I’ve had in my life. Came here twice already. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.
